Holiday Movie Screenings
Reading Cinemas will be screening a choice of kids’ films over the school holiday period. Old-school kids’ classic Dumbo (PG) has had a live-action Disney remake, with the original flying elephant story being reimagined as a fantasy adventure directed by Tim Burton. Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) is a former circus star whose life is turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max (Danny DeVito) enlists Holt to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughing stock before his true talents are found.
Wonder Park (PG) is a colourful computer animated film that tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive. Suitable for the whole family, cast includes the voices of Hollywood stars Jennifer Garner, Matthew Broderick and Mila Kunis and Aussie radio stars Fitzy and Wippa. Look out for the $10 Wonder Park combo at the candy bar. Includes one small drink, one small popcorn and a Wacky Monkey filled candy toy. And if you’re still yet to see The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, never fear: it’s still screening and will be running during school holidays too.
